Korean Traditional Instrument

HAEGEUM

The haegeum is a string instrument played by rubbing the strings with a bow

and pressing or releasing the strings, which hang vertically

between the resonator body and the pegs.

GAYAGEUM

The gayageum is a 12-string instrument with silk strings stretched over a long wooden body.

It is played by plucking the strings with the right hand

and pressing them with the left to create expressive sounds.
